What is a Gradvertising Strategy®?:
A Gradvertising Strategy® is a model that allows for an effective analysis of your current state (where you are now) and
acts as a catalyst to achieving your vision of success (where you want to be) faster and with more
efficiency than the competition.
Your Gradvertising Strategy® is developed and enacted in real time. To build your winning
Gradvertising Strategy®, you will work with Lisa Bean over a course of six coaching sessions.
There are five steps to a Gradvertising Strategy and you will focus on one step per session, giving you time
to put your learning and your plans into
action. This leaves one session to be taken at any stage to address a problem,
challenge or opportunity specific to you. Lisa Bean, the founder of Gradvert, will help you to
identify this as you progress.
The five steps are shown in this model, and are explained below:
- Set your vision - where are you going?
Work with Lisa to define exactly what you want from your life, your career and your future. Pin point exactly what you are motivated by, what will make you truly happy and what your ultimate picture of the future looks like.
Use this analysis to shortlist 6-7 key jobs that will enable you to achieve your vision of success. - Define the requirements - what will it take to get there?
Translate your vision of the future into a set of requirements that you need to satisfy in order to get there. This includes internal factors such as your knowledge, skills and behaviours and external factors such as time, contacts, opportunities, qualifications, experience and funding. - Set a SMART plan - what action will get you there?
Define the series of steps that will take you from where you are now to where you want to get to, making sure each step is specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and timely. This is likely to be split by short term steps that will have the biggest impact now, and longer term steps needed for on-going future success. - Act smart - How can you get there faster and more efficiently than the competition?
Integrate the steps needed for success into your existing schedule without delay, removing barriers and optimising your performance to ensure you are effective and efficient at every step. - Review and revise: How can I do this better and faster next time?
Following completion of the first cycle, review your progress to pin point exactly what worked well and what didn't work well: what moved you forward and what held you back so that changes can be made to ensure even greater efficiency during cycle two.
Lisa will guide you at each stage, challenging and pushing you to make sure you consider all the angles and get the most from your time. It should be noted that some 'homework' may be involved to complete your model. For example, you might need to spend some time researching jobs within your chosen field or looking into specific requirements for a given role between one stage and the next. Lisa will help you with all of this.

- Your personal brand - defining your unique selling points (USP) and leaving everyone you meet with a strong and lasting imprint that can be packaged and 'sold on' to others. I.e. what people will say about you.
- How to translate your talent into a commercially viable product - translating your talent and capability into the right language and tangible actions required to showcase your skills as a 'reason to invest' in you.
